Sweet Sandy B

As most probably don't realize, wedding invitations are not the only items that I design - it just so happens that I have designed business logos, announcements, misc. invitations and even some promotional products. Enter the case of Sweet Sandy B.

Awhile back I was introduced to Sweet Sandy B via my friend Libby of Elizabeth K Photography. And when I say introduced, I mean she showed me her facebook page loaded with pictures of delicious treats and some insanely cool decorated cakes (check out the Cars cake, you will see what I mean!). So, as soon as I "met" Sandy, my sister-in-law got engaged, so it was the perfect time to order a cake and really check her out. Well, to put it mildly, the cake she made for me was beyond cute. I was thrilled with it! And, as it turned out, the same weekend she delivered my cake, she was also donating some baked goods to a local charity event. She needed some type of promotional flyer to display with her baked goods. It needed to be done ASAP and it needed to reflect her artistic style while showcasing her fab goods. Below is what I came up with.

I was quite happy with how this turned out (though I am none too happy with the quality of the uploaded image, ugh!). I think it represented her personality well, all while showcasing her goods. Small projects like these are a nice break from the norm and I enjoy doing them. So, all of you out there in need of some design work, hit me up!

And also, good luck to you, Sweet Sandy B, as you start your next adventure!

Rebecca & Vincent

Prior to leaving for vacation, I was swamped with invitation projects. I had two weddings, save the date cards, a baby shower and a party order to complete all in one week. So needless to say, when vacation time hit, I was READY.
Now that I am back (*sigh), I thought I should share some of the things that had kept me so busy. This wedding invitation is a customization of the "Sour Apple" design. The colors for this wedding were hot pink and black, which I think look great together and look really nice on this particular design. This bride needed no other customization, so the design process was a breeze! Coordinating with the invitation, I created a RSVP card with printed envelope, as well as envelopes that I printed with addresses and return addresses. Also, I included a gift for the bride and groom made by Remaking Memories and they loved it!

Ayca and Sam!

First of all, I need to give a congratulatory shout out to the fabulous, fun, cute, adorable, and all around awesome couple that is Ayca and Sam Miller. Their contemporary and unique Chicago wedding was last weekend and was it ever fun! These two cats are some of my favorite people and the wedding was just perfect, rain or shine!

I had the honor of creating the stationery for their wedding. Ayca is a 1st generation Turkish American so she wanted to incorporate that somehow. After some discussion, she decided on the Ottoman Tulip and away we went with the design. What we came up with for a finished product was just perfect and uniquely them. The color of the invitation consisted of a royal blue and vibrant green color scheme, complimented by a stardream metallic mint colored envelope. The return address and guest addresses were all printed on the envelope to create one stunning package. Of course, I forgot to save a sample of a printed envelope to show you though! So, use your imagination for that part, but here is what the finished product looked like:

(Photo credit to the great Elizabeth K Photography. Seriously, she works magic.)

The icing on the cake (ok, cheesy, I know) was that they used the invitation as inspiration for their wedding cake! When I saw this, I just about went bonkers, it was the coolest thing, EVER.

So, Ayca and Sam, your wedding was beautiful, you are such a wonderful couple and I wish you many, many years of wedded bliss!

Rave Reviews and A Contest?

Sealed Expressions just got a rave review from a bride. She was the 2nd one to receive her free gift from Remaking Memories and she was so surprised! This is what she had to say:

"I LOVE THEM!! I am so excited - they are awesome. Thank you so much for everything and thank you so much for that magnet - that was so awesome of you! I am so excited!! I am definitely recommending you to everyone I know - you are amazing!!"
How cool is that?! I mean really, I am stoked, this is exactly the kind of reaction I was hoping for!! So, I guess this means the partnership with Remaking Memories is a hit, so stay tuned for more fun things like that!
Speaking of fun, I am in the mood for a contest, but I am not sure what type of prize to give away. Any suggestions???

Sealed Expressions + Remaking Memories = AWESOME!

I am so geeked to blog about my partnership with Remaking Memories. We have some major collaboration going on here and it really rocks!

First of all, what is Remaking Memories anyway?! Check out this website - www.remakingmemories.com - this business is unbelievably cool. The mastermind behind this whole business is Katie, a creative marketing guru who is basically all around awesome! She takes anything from a child's artwork to a favorite pair of jeans and turns them into a keepsake that you cherish. She makes pendants, ornaments, magnets and more - seriously, such a great idea!

So, not only does Katie's business rock, but she also happens to be a good friend of mine, so when the idea of collaborating together popped into my head, of course she was game! So, what is this collaboration anyway?! Well as a gift to all of my brides, Katie is making a special keepsake out of each invitation that I create and I am in turn giving these keepsakes as gifts to them. Basically I wanted to show my customers how much I appreciate their business, but I wanted to do so in a way that would leave and impression. So, our partnership was born!

She has been a busy little bee making keepsakes for my brides. I have been up to my ears in invtiations and Katie has been able to send me some beautiful keepsakes that I can't wait to give away!

I just recently sent out my first keepsake to a bride - she loved it! Her invitations were so classy, and they looked great made into a Christmas ornament. So, cheers and congratulations Sabrina & Christopher and thank you Remaking Memories!
