Lots of Goodies!

Over the past month, I have been busy, busy, busy!  I am still very busy, finishing up wedding and shower invitations before the arrival of Baby P. in May.  I have lots to show you so, here we go:

Earlier I blogged about the legacy inviation set, which was initially used as a pocketfold invitation.  Here, the same invitation design was used, without the pocketfold.  This invitation is simple and classic and looks nice with any color scheme.  The bride chose a royal blue, which popped and looked clean and crisp with the white background of this design:

This next invitation set is a twist on the Modern Floral design.  The bride and groom chose the Modern Floral design, however we customized the floral image to reflect the color and type of flowers to be used in their wedding. The orange and blue color scheme offers a contrast that allows the image to stand out on this invitation set.  The corresponding RSVP card perfectly complemented this invitation:

I have done several bridal and baby shower invitations over the past few weeks.  This invitation was created for a baby shower for a little girl.  I loved the green and pink color scheme!:

Next up is a pair of some of my favorite invitations.  This design, "Love Birds" was designed just this year.  The design is so cute, it has tons of personality and is such a modern and fun design.  The first invitation set featured a cornflower blue, which added elegance and softness to the design.  The most fun part of this invitation set was the RSVP card.  In order to add a little fun to the RSVP card, the bride and groom chose to use this wording for their RSVP card: -Will attend (with bells on) - Will attend (undecided about bells) - Will not attend (heard there will be people wearing bells) - Will not attend (regardless of bell controversy).  I just thought this idea was so clever, creative and different.  I love the little ways that a bride and groom can add a little spice and personality to their wedding.

The second color scheme for the love birds set was a clover green and canary yellow.  The bride and groom chose a serif type font for their names, which totally changed the style of the invitation and expressed their style.  The colors looked great with this invitation as well:

And lastly, I have to share a simple and beautiful shower invitation.  I have been working with this bride (who just so happens to be my super sweet cousin!) on her entire wedding suite and the bridal shower invitation was next on our list.  This invitation is simple, classic and perfectly coordinates with her wedding colors:

I have a lot more to blog about, so I shall return soon with more to share.

New Designs

I am constantly creating new and cute shower invitations and it seems that I never upload them to my website.  Well today, I am home sick with the flu and since I can do nothing but lay around, I thought today would be the perfect opportunity to share some of my new designs.

The first one is actually an invitation inspired by the one and only, Pinterest.  I saw  the "Ready to Pop" theme for baby showers there and have recently created this baby shower invitation to go along with that theme:

Another favorite design of mine is this colorful floral invitation.  It was created as a bridal shower invite but could easily be converted to a wedding invitaiton as well:

This bridal shower invitation is simple, classic and fun.  I am loving the blue color scheme, also:

This wedding invitation is one of my new favorites.  It was a custom creation for a friend and long time customer.  She and her fiance are having a fall themed wedding but wanted their invitations to be fun, not too traditional or boring.  The final product is super awesome and I cannot wait to blog about the final product when these are printed:

This invitation design is new and very popular.  Just this week I have done 2 wedding sets with this same design.  It is cute, chic, and all around fun:

Blog Catch Up

Like most of us, I need more hours in the day.  However, I think that I require two more hours than everyone else.  I am not saying that I am any more busy than you all, I am saying that I have a serious case of foggy pregant brain and even the simplest tasks take me forever.  I get so side tracked lately and forget very easily, it is bordering on embarrassing.  I told my husband the other night that I basically have a case of the stupids and I wish I were exaggerating!

This is no excuse but it is part of the reason I am so behind on blogging.  I have oodles of projects to show you, and will hopefully be able to update the blog next week.  Ok, enough of my pity party, let's proceed:

The first thing I have to show you is a set of baby shower invitations.  I love this design so much.  Earlier I blogged about it using a neutral color palette for a baby whose gender was unknown.  These invites were made for a little girl on the way and the design works perfectly with the pink and yellow color scheme.  If you ask me, I think it has little girly girl written all over it!

These save the date magnets were really fun to make. Recently I have been doing quite a few save the dates and these magents are especially nice because guests can keep them well after the date as passed.  This magnet was for a vow renewal and was 4.5x6 in size.  The large size perfectly held all of the information that was needed:

The next set of save the date magnets is so super awesome.  I love it so much but cannot take credit for much of the beauty.  Jess VanLue was the photographer behind this stunning photo and if you know her work, you know she does stunning work.  When I was given this image to work with, I knew it needed to be the focal point.  So, I added a few elements to the magnet in order to coordinate it with their wedding inviations and voila, the finished product was simply beautiful:

Stay tuned for wedding invitations and more save the date cards - wedding season is in full swing!

New Year, New Babies!

First of all, I haven't blogged since November?  Really?  I feel like it has only been a few weeks - whoops.  I guess the whirlwind of the holidays really does make time fly.

Happy belated New Year to all of my readers.  I hope that 2012 brings you all health and happiness.  2012 has a lot in store for my family and my business and I look forward to the adventure.

At the very end of December my family was blessed with a new addition - my nephew, Colby Thomas, was born.  Oh, he is so cute.  And such a good baby, too!  Recently I created his birth announcements and my oh my are they adorable!  The photographer was able to get some great shots of the 3 day old little man and as they say, a picture says a thousand words.  His newborn shots were so cute, I really wanted to downplay the text - there was not much design work needed with such a cute face!  So behold, Colby:

Kudos to Comer Photography for getting such a great shot of the little man and kudos to my sister for having such a wonderful baby!

'Tis the Season to Celebrate!

Thanksgiving is over, I am full, rested, and relaxed.  Most of my holiday shopping is done thanks to some great online deals and free shipping, so that means my Christmas season is wide open for family, fun, and celebrations!  I have a few holiday parties to attend and I am excited to kick off the season of festive cheer.

Recently I created some holiday party invitations that are so pretty, I just love them!  They are printed on metallic paper, mounted on red cardstock.  These invitations are a perfect for a holiday party or the design could easily be used for a Christmas card:

Besides celebrating the holidays, there are a lot of people around me celebrating babies!!  No matter what the season is, babies are always fun and exciting.  This invitation is for one of my best customers - she always has fun ideas and themes for showers and this invitation was no exception.  The theme for this baby shower was "Super Baby" and the idea turned out so cute!  These postcard invitations perfectly fit the theme and were a very unique and fun way to invite guests to the shower.

The last item I am going to share is not something that I made, but something made by my friend, Ayca, at Adornments.  Ayca is a very talented jewelry designer, currently stationed on the west coast.  I go to her for all of my jewelry needs and love her custom work.  Recently I sent her a piece of sea glass that I had picked up this past summer while vacationing in Homer, Alaska.  I asked her to use her creativity and make it into a necklace for me.  To my surprise and delight she took the seaglass and turned it into one of my most cherised keepsakes.  After wire wrapping the seaglass, she attached 3 birthstones to the top - my birthstone, my husband's birthstone and the birthstone for our baby that is due this coming May!!  Isn't that the most thoughtful and cool thing ever?!  This necklace now represents a memorable family vacation as well as my little family - it gives me goosebumps and makes me smile!

Cheers to all of the fun and joyful things to celebrate during this season!

C'mon, Baby!

The talk of babies is running rampant in my family these days as my sister is only 2 weeks shy of her due date and my husband and I recently found out that we are expecting!  It seems like babies are the topics of most conversations lately, so I decided to keep that trend going and talk baby on the blog!

Recently we had 2 showers for my sister.  I previously blogged about her invitations and the bunting that I created.  I'd like to show you some of the other accessories we had at the shower:

This sign inviting guests to take a party favor:

I saw this printable on Pinterest and thought it was so cute!  Each guest filled out their "wishes" for the baby - what a special keepsake to have:

I created these favor tags that were adorned on all of the prizes:

Now, I have to share two things that my super creative Aunt Pam made.  She has always been rather crafty and creative, and I have to give her mad props for these adorable accessories.  She made a centerpiece diaper cake and diaper wreath, decorated with all sorts of fun things for the baby.  These were such a unqiue gift idea and might I add some awesome decorations!

Hopefully my new niece/nephew makes their appearance soon, I can't wait to meet him or her! :)
